Finance Director

Role Summary: As the most senior finance professional in the business, reporting to the Managing Director, you will have overall responsibility for the financial control and reporting within the business, and be central to decision making around the strategic direction of the business.  You will be central to support fundraising for ongoing expansion. 
Responsibilities: 
 
Financial Analysis and Decision-Making: 
- Use financial modelling to simulate potential scenarios. 
- Analyse departmental finances and predict financial health. 
- Monitor spending, create budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities. 
- Collaborate with management to develop funding strategies. 

Regulatory Compliance: 
- Ensure adherence to national and international financial regulations. 
- Oversee payroll and bookkeeping systems. 
- Manage and report on group structures across multiple currencies and international jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and financial accuracy. 
- Oversee group taxation requirements, ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations. 

Reporting and Strategic Planning: 
- Prepare company reports for investors and potential investors. 
- Contribute to long-term financial planning and strategic direction. 
- Prior experience with SAP or a similar ERP system. 
- Leading a private equity or venture capital exit process preferred. 
 
Leadership and Team Management: 
- Lead and manage a finance team, including functions such as legal cashiering, management accounts, and working capital management. 
- Serve as the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA). 
- Coordinate work across executive function of the business in close collaboration with legal and C-suite especially on fundraising and company strategy 
 
Qualifications: 
- UK Qualified Accountant?with significant experience. 
- Preferably from the?automotive or manufacturing industry. 
- MBA or equivalent education preferred. 

Location:
- Bicester or Clapham. Hybrid working.
