Join a cutting-edge R&D company specialising in electric motors, controllers, and inverters for various applications. As a Senior Test Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in the Test and Simulation team, managing dynamometer testing, developing advanced test systems, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-performance solutions.
This role is availalbe on a permanent or contract basis (Outside IR35)
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing Leadership: Manage Dyno test facilities, test schedules, and perform testing, verification, and validation of electric drive systems.
- Test Development: Design and implement test rigs, fixtures, and system architecture using NI LabVIEW and MATLAB.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and evaluate test data for validity, produce technical reports, and provide actionable insights.
- Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior test engineers, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements to enhance testing efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: BEng/BSc in Electronics, Embedded, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Proven track record in electro-mechanical testing, particularly in Automotive or related sectors.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of electronics principles, measurement techniques, and signal processing.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW programming, MATLAB, and data acquisition systems (e.g., PXI chassis).
- Knowledge of DSP, Fourier analysis, and error calculation.
- Traits: Detail-oriented, process-driven, and problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
Additional:
- Must be willing to travel overseas occasionally.
- Full driving license with business-use insurance is required.
