Senior Mechanical Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead innovative projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure our products perform to the highest standards. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure products meet top performance standards and implement corrective actions when needed.

  • Apply hands-on engineering expertise to practical problem-solving.

  • Foster strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners, ensuring excellent customer experience.

  • Train and mentor junior engineers, reviewing their work to maintain quality standards.

  • Manage workload and projects to meet deadlines effectively.

  • Comply with all EH&S procedures and use protective equipment as required.

  • Keep managers and engineering teams informed on work quality, performance, and customer feedback.

  • Maintain safe working practices and high technical and commercial standards in all activities.

  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI), including product testing, procedure creation, and staff training.

  • Contribute innovative ideas to improve products, services, and customer experience.

  • Solve engineering challenges and suggest product and process enhancements.

  • Own design projects from concept to production.

  • Create and review engineering documentation, including maintenance and operation manuals.

  • Lead validation processes such as DFMEA, Risk Assessments, and Hazard Reviews.

  • Participate in design reviews at each stage of product development.

  • Ensure successful integration of design packages.

  • Perform other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • BEng in Mechanical Engineering (minimum).

  • Strong industry experience using 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).

  • Full UK driver’s licence.

  • Ability to manage administrative tasks within deadlines.

  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.

  • Experience in prototype building and NPI activities.

  • Capable of working independently and taking initiative.

  • Leadership experience in managing small teams.

  • Proven track record in successful project delivery.
