We are looking for a Configuration Engineer to maintain the integrity of information from New Product Design and In-Production Changes through to internal and external production and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Development of new and maintenance of existing Production Bill of Materials

• Management and oversight of Engineering Change, including chairing the Change Control Board

• Ensuring incoming prototype and similar components are checked against quality expectations (i.e visual check, review inspection reports)

• Kitting of prototype builds and other ERP associated tasks

• Generating shipping paperwork (as required)

• Management of Non-Standard Builds to production (either in UK or China as appropriate)

 

Relevant Knowledge & Experience

• Understanding of manufacturing business processes

• Understanding of Bills of Material (BOMs) structure and use

• Sound IT skills

• ERP / MRP system user

• Involvement in Change Control in a manufacturing environment

• Previous role in inspection or goods-in/out may be a good grounding for the role

• Degree in a technical field

Any knowledge of the following IT systems will be an advantage:

SYSPRO, JIRA, Confluence, EPDM, MS Office especially Excel
